Hi
I am new to the diet this is my 2nd week, and so far lost 5 pounds.
I just wondered what people think about this:-
I did my fast Monday and wednesday @ 500 cals and did 600 cals on the friday and ate normally with nice things Tuesday,Thursday, sat and Sunday. I just felt I wanted to do a bit extra my first week and have done this same this week so hoping for good results anyone else do more than 2 days other than ADF.

Hi Zacardwell, welcome to the forum.

Yes, a few people are doing 4:3 (three days fasting). The weight loss is not much more than 5:2 though so if you find 4:3 harder to do there is no need to keep it up. If it suits you better, by all means continue. Having a half fast on Friday where you skip breakfast and lunch but have a normal dinner, wine etc is another option, but I have no idea how that affects weight loss!

Please do visit the forum stats on the progress tracker where you can see the average weight loss for 5:2 compared with 4:3 and ADF and also for different ages, starting weights and by gender! You can get a graph showing the weight lost with each week on the diet for these groups so you can see what you might expect in future.
