Feeling bloated/bowel problems
10 Mar 2013, 11:32
I have been on the 5:2 diet for about 9 weeks and have had a steady weight loss until this week when I have gained 1lb. I fast on Monday and Thursday. After Monday's fast I felt sore and bloated and after Thursday I felt even worse and bowel seems to have stopped all together. I am eating plenty of fruit and veg and whole grains. Any thoughts?
Hi. I get that now and then. The weight increase is backed up food :-(. Lots of fruit is best and veg, less so the whole grains. You could take some fybogel or similar. I find most weeks are fine not sure what triggers it. Could be the balance of foods on the day before a fast...perhaps if not high enough in fruit and veg.
Thank you. Will try your suggestions and see what works.
Hi!

I am in my 6th week. I have same issues but not so much now but maybe due to too many carbs on feed days ... i am doing 4:3 generally I have cut down on carbs so feeling much lighter
