If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi there everyone. I found this great site via Mimi Spencer and would like to say that 5:2 changed my life. from 25st plus in 2011, I am now down to 14st and have recently realised that IF was not just a fad, but how I now live my life, and that I can incorporate it into my endurance training.

I thought it would be good to share with others on similar journeys ad if anyone is interested in my experiences with IF over the past two years, let me know. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to reading posts and hopefully contributing.

I've experimented quite bit to find what works for me, which is one of the reasons I love IF. It's so flexible.
