For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi to Everyone,

I am a newbie and looking forward to starting the 5:2 diet this coming Monday.

Any tips, receipes, especially a typical days eating plan on the Fast Days will be sincerely appreciated.

I am presently in France and have not found anything that is low fat and the French don't believe in calories lol :grin: . So look forward to any tips etc.

Hi TSK and welcome!

There are quite a few members living in France on the forum!

Re the low fat thing...I would advise you watch The Men Who Made Us Fat documentary series (links in the Resources section). I think you won't worry about low fat foods after that!

I have been eating all the old fashioned high fat foods like bacon, butter, cake etc and have lost 2.5 stone so far!

Thank you & appreciate your reply...certainly will have to 'get this low fat' thought out of my head :smile: . Will read on this on L.F's. This 5:2 diet or shall I say 'the new way of eating' sounds wonderful after reading some of the reviews....I mean bacon, cake & butter, this is too good to be true!!! Congrats on your weight loss and really have been spending the last few hours reading the comments which is really motivating me to start this from Monday. Will update soon & thank you again. :like:
