Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Kia ora from New Zealand

I'm a newbie. Been doing the 5:2 thing for 3 or 4 weeks.

Finding it pretty good and dropped a few kilos.

I'm really here to get some support and information.

Is "kia ora" a greeting ? It is/was a "fruit" drink in the UK.

Hi Kia, I'm 2 weeks in, and must confess that my Easiyo yoghurt-maker from NZ has been God-sent. I use the lite-greek and reduce the calorie count on many creamy sauces and desserts. Welcome.

Yes kia ora is a greeting.

I saw an article in the Sunday paper about the 5:2 diet. Michael Mosley's documentary will be shown here later this year, so we can expect an influx of NZers here.

Oh No! Heaps of kiwis! Must find my jandals, Ay? ;-)

Love NZ...went for a 6-week trip back in the late 1980s and have been longing to go back ever since!

Cool. 6 weeks was obviously enough to pick up some colloquialisms... come again, dont forget your togs!! You will be beach ready from the diet.

Hooked up with a friend from NZ visiting the UK the other day so I was reminded of a few turns of phrase! ;-)
