For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I am new to this site. Have been on the 5:2 for 5 days. Feel good. I feel slimmer but not much loss on the scales. Being a bit obsessive, I will try and weigh myself once a week. Feel really good.

Hi MissyG and welcome!

One week is far too early to worry about what the scales say! There are a lot of water weight changes going on which masks what is happening to the fat. Measuring your waist is a better guide than the scales. If you feel great, it must be doing you good!

Thank you so much for your reply, this is my second week now. I'm still getting used to using the site was not aware anyone responded. It's weigh day tomorrow and I feel like I've lost weight! I've just been to the gym on my fast day and I feel shattered? I wonder if I should have eaten something small before I went? Hope the energy levels come back up.
