Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi I'm Emma. Been adopting a healthy diet since 7 Jan and thought I'd give this fasting a go in combination with that. I've lost about 9lbs cutting the crap (caffeine, refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods) and have done about three fast days in this time. Now wanting to step it up and be more consistent with fast days etc.
just wondering if you are all eating whatever you like on feed/feast days or sticking to a healthy diet and what your results have been?
Look forward to joining in the chat on this site in the coming weeks and months.
Oh and I'm looking to lose 2-3 stone before my holiday in July and get down to between 9-10 stone (I'm 5'4)

Hi Emma, welcome.

I think most people have been eating whatever they want on feed days. But the interesting thing is that what we want after a few weeks on the diet seems to be a healthy diet! :-)

You can see the results people are getting in the progress tracker (link in the side panel), go to the view forum stats tab. You can filter the results by gender, age, starting BMI, to see what results people like you have been getting! 8-)
Welcome Emma, sounds like you are doing really well already! There's lots of info building up here, start by reading Caroline's short answers at http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=246, then have a browse around the various forum boards for more, and do join in the discussions!

And as Caroline has just said (while I was writing this!), do visit http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/tracker.php and start recording your stats - you get a nice graph and record of your own progress and they contribute (anonymously of course) to the overall dataset.
