Hello. I am newbie from Finland. Here in Finland we watch "eat, fast and live longer" only 3 weeks ago. So here I am  . Now is 3 fast days (36 hours) behind and I have lose 3 kg. I have decided keep Monday and Thursday my fast days. I have not calculated calories during eating days, but I guess that calories are about 2000-2200.

I think this start is good for me. I have long way to go for my goal (still 11 kg). I like these feelings after 36 hours fast, like I had this morning. I also afraid my first fast day but it was not as hard as I imagined. Fast day evenings at home are not so fun. Here are too many temptations. Anyway I think that I can survive quite easy these two fast days every week.
Hi Jyri and welcome to the forum as well as 5:2!
I hope it works well for you, 2 days a week is very do-able. Even with the evening temptations.
Do you receive a lot of BBC programmes in Finland, and are they in the original version? With subtitles (I'm interested as I teach English in France and everything is dubbed here!)
Your English is very good.
Hi Susan. Yes we receive a lot of document programs from BBC in Finland. We have possibility watch also series like Emmerdale. They are original version with Finnish text. So we hear always original voices. We haven’t any dubbed programs here. Thanks for your positive feedback.
Has there been a lot of publicity about the fast diet on Finland? I suppose I've always had the impression that Scandinavians are very healthy with no weight problemd!
Hi Jyri

Welcome, nice to hear that your fasting is going really well and that you can get Emmerdale all the way in Finland.

Tomorrow is my 3rd day on Fasting do you have any tips on how to get through it, I really miss my Cheese, biscuits and chocolate biscuits during the evening. I will be having my dinner tonight and that will be me done hopefully until Thursday Dinner as I know if I have breakfast/lunch on Thursday I will want to eat all day.
We have here same over weight problems here as other west Europe countries. Many of my friends has watch fast diet document, but I am only one who is started try this.

My way during fast day are … I do not eat breakfast. Lunch is chicken filet (230kcal/200gram) then I save the rest of my calories to the evening. I try finding something to do then my mind keeps away from eating.

I only eat low amount of carbs also eating days. I like candies (salt licorice, Finnish specialty which is made from licorice and ammonium chloride). I made notice that I do not miss candies when all carbs are low level.
