If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello, Its my first day on the 5/2 FD. I just learned about it on sunday when I saw the documentary with Michael Mosley and decided that I had to give this a try. I am so excited by this idea. :heart:

Mostly my goal is to get my weight down because I was tested as prediabetic at my last clinic appointment and I NEED to get back to normal. everyone in my family has diabetes (type 2) and i don't want to be next. So I'm glad to be here and looking forward to living a healthier lifestyle. :grin:

Hello and welcome and good luck! I love this way of eating and it's suiting me (although I'm only in my fifth week.)

Welcome to the forums!

There are some members here with diabetes who have had good results, so I'm sure you'll be able to make a big difference to your health.

Please check out the FAQ as a starting point as it has a lot of information you should find useful, I hope.
