Hi I've just signed up too. Been on diet for about 7 weeks now I started with 5:2 but wanted better results so now doing 4:3. It works for me. Does anyone else notice that their measurements and looser clothes are a better sign of weight loss than the scales? I've lost 7lbs so far and 5cm from waist. Wish I'd measured thighs as I have definitely toned them up with dog walking as well as fasting.

Hi Chickvic and noggins and welcome to the forum!

Measuring yourself/the fit of your clothes is definitely a better way of judging weight loss than the scales. You can gain a lot of water for various reasons during during which increases your weight on the scales even though though may still be losing fat. I thinks it's best to do both weighing and measuring because I've often seen a decrease in weight but not in waistline as well as a decrease in waist but not in weight!

Good luck both...any questions do ask (but please look in the FAQ first ;-))

Well I've done my first fast day, took a cup of soup to work (76 cals) in case I couldn't make it but didn't eat all day. Have had a chicken breast with some peppers, courgettes, mushrooms and noodles for our meal tonight (husband is doing this as well) came to about 500 cals and I couldn't eat all of it - unheard of for me
Haven't weighed myself yet, may do it either Friday morning (2nd fast day) or next Monday.
