hi cuddly- well this seems to be working for so many people - no worries about low carb etc!! you can eat what you fancy on 5 days and have 500 cals on the 2 fast days- not bad!!! and it works- you will feel the benefit after the first fast day- just make sure you drink plenty!!! let us know how you get on- ursula (55, post menopausal)

Hi Cuddly

Yes, it is much easier than low carb, though to be honest fast days are much easier if you go low carb on them as you get a lot more to eat for your 500 cals!

I'm menopausal myself and have lost quite a lot of weight but then I have a lot more to lose! You may find the weight loss is slow (look at the forum wide results on the progress tracker and you will see that the older age groups lose weight more slowly) but you know, slow and steady wins the race!

Hi Ursula and Caroline, thanks for your replies.
I will be sticking to low carb , its such a habit now and althouigh its been a disappointment from a weight loss prospective Ive noticed other health benefits.
I will weigh in tomorrow and post my measurements in the tracker. I'm quite excited now.
