Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I'm right with you on the sleeping problems Glenda. Was going to post something last night at 3am but thought it looked kinda crazy! I noticed Breadandwine was up at 12.30am posting (making bread?) but he was the last!

Next time I'm up all night I might post an 'is anybody out there?' insomnia thread! :)

Ha, I actually try to avoid looking at screens when I can't sleep as research shows it can disturb your sleep patterns even more. But I'm with you on wondering if anyone else is up at the same time!

Valerian root tea is absolutely amazing for getting you off to sleep - have you tried it? Tastes a bit odd but it's nicer made with a camomiles teabag in there too.

No I haven't tried valerian root tea- will look out for it.

My trouble is that I start thinking about things then, hey presto, my brain starts whirring at 100 mph and I've got no chance of dropping off!

I've heard that about screens but after two hours of listening to my own mad thoughts I usually crack and start reading the paper online!
