For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I am very new, not even started yet. I have decided to have my first fast day on Friday. I have read the book and read loads on this forum so I am quite excited about starting.

I have tried every diet possible, some have worked and some not but I have always put the weight back on eventually. My best effort was on the cambridge diet, but 6 months after reaching my goal weight it started going back on and before I knew it I weighed more than when I started.

So here's to a new start.

Hey Compaholic!,

I'm starting my first fast day tomorrow. Like you I'm really excited to start this diet, Although I think the fast days won't be that hard for me as I used to do something similar in high school. Do you have much to lose? I'm aiming to lose at least 3 stones. Good Luck !!

good evening compaholic and violetsoldier- you have come to the right place- this seems to work for so many people and you are right to be excited- it's great!!! I starte dlast friday (first fast day) and yesterday second fast day- lost 4lbs!! can't believe it and shall definately persevere- want to loose at least 2 stone!! good luck both- ursula
