Hi

This is my first day on the fast diet...I decided after christmas I needed to change my whole lifestyle and going on yet another weight watchers or slimming world diet wouldn't cut the mustard this time, been there done that!

I watched the horizon programme a few days ago and it seemed everything I wanted in a diet, to loose weight but to also have a positive effect on my health...I bought the book and read it through yesterday and decided no time like the present to get going.

I started my fast day last night at 9pm, and so far apart from a few hunger pangs I'm doing ok, I find drinking alot of iced water helps me, and have decided to save all my calories for my meal at tea time...just got to keep busy, busy, busy or my mind laspes into thinking about food too much...but it's great knowing I can eat what I want tomorrow :D

Just a quick note to welcome you to the forum. Can't write much...trying to welcome all the newbies plus typing on my phone is such a pain!

hi crystaltips- amazing!! what you said is exactly how it was for me too- I was really getting fed up with slimming world too!!! had done it for such a long time and not really achieved what I was hoping for!! and paid a lot of money.... well- you know.
so- here we are, in charge of our own weight loss and in charge of our health too- isn't it great!!! would like to keep in touch to see how you are getting on- ursula

hi caroline and thanks for the welcome, yes my hair used to be like a bush when I was little so the name crystaltips stuck, thankfully its abit more tamed now!

Hi Ursula, yes deffinitely keep in touch with me, it'd be great to have someone to chat to about it all, we sound like we've both been down the same paths, so it'll be interesting to see how this diet works...lou
