Hello
Well done to all of you. I'm loving these inspiring stories
So far done two fast days. They went really well
I have two children primary age. I'm 5.4 and weighed 11.10 at Christmas. Lost 7lb calorie counting but found this woe on a bother forum and thought it sounded brilliant. Have since watched doc on internet and found the health genocide fascinating though my current main interest is weight loss
Current weight 11.4lb but not weighted for over a week

Look forward to all your inspiring tales

Hi there and welcome

Calorie counting every day is just too much bother isn't it? Glad your first fasts went well.

Be sure to add your data to the progress tracker when you do weigh, we are hoping to get enough data and interesting stats to send to Dr Mosley once we have some longer term information.

Hello!

Another newbie here. I heard about the diet from the Radio Times last week and decided to give it a go as I'm totally hopeless at dieting and need to lose at least three stones. It's the continuing feeling of being deprived that normal diets give me that makes me fail again and again. At least with the fast diet, that deprivation only lasts for a short time and the knowledge that I can eat normally the next day keeps me going :) .
I started this week and have done the 2 fast days so now I've got 4 normal days until the next fast day. I did find the fast days very hard but I had planned the food so I managed to do it. I will not be going crazy and eating everything in sight on normal days but keeping to around or below 2000 cals to hopefully maximise results.

Hi. Thanks for reply
I had a terrible night sleep last night. Woke at 5.30am. Didn't feel hungry but my brIn was so alert I just could get back off! Not fasting till Monday so hope I catch up soon
I have not scales here and weigh at my mums which is 15 mins away. I'm desperate to know if I've lost but my clothes feel better on.
Good luck to you skyfall. I agree its feels so great to know it's only a day and then you can eat guilt free. Ive had toast and jam at breekie. Beans and one slice toast with a little grated cheese for lunch and I treated myself to a Danish pastry and coffee this afternoon whereas when cal counting I would never have been able to do that!
Good luck to you :D

I'm another Radio-Timeser fed up with calorie counting and piling all the weight back on once I've reached target weight. What I need is a new way of thinking about food (rather than just thinking about it all the time) - and hopefully this will remind me of what it's like to actually feel hungry (and not hungry!)
