Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Most people get light headed in the first few fasts. I think it is due to low blood sugar occurring because the body is a bit slow to change over to use fat as fuel when the store of glycogen runs low. When you went for your walk you probably used up the glycogen faster. what seems to happen is that your body switches over more efficiently with more fasts so you will probably not get it again or at worst after a few more fasts. I think it is worth embracing the one meal a day regime because of the fact that you do start burning fat. I think this will help with weight loss.
I imagine that when you were having more meals on your fast day your body never really needed to rely on fat for fuel.
Hope that helps...
