Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello

I have tried most diets in the past, and lost weight, felt great then gradually put the weight back on as I return to 'normal' eating. I saw Dr Mosley on breakfast news after Christmas, and immediately ordered the book. Read it in an hour and have been doing this new way of eating for 5 weeks now. I refuse to call it a diet, as it really feels this is the way I will be eating for the long term. I have found it much easier than I expected, and have a lot of the side effects in common with others...far more alert, in fact find it a bit difficult to sleep on fast nights. I have a greater sense of control and well being. I have made a definite effort to stay away from the scales, by my clothes feel looser and that's enough for me. I don't want to be a slave to every half pound. Good luck to everyone, and it's great to hear how others are finding it.

Welcome Rooella

You are so right that we should call it a new way of eating or as we don't like the abbreviation, woe, a new way of life (wol).

There are some great stories on the forum, enjoy!
