Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I've read so much useful info on here already, so decided to bite the bullet and register. I'm mainly interested in the health benefits of fasting as I have lost a lot of weight over the last year due to ill health and don't need to lose any more. I am also supporting my husband who has started the 5:2 IF for weight loss.

Hi loobyloo

Welcome to the forum!

Hopefully if you are already a healthy weight you won't lose any more. If you do you may have to consider eating more on feed days and/or fast days or only doing one fast day a week. See how it goes.
