For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi Ali! Just wanted to welcome you to the forums. Feel free to track your 5:2 progress in the tracker system and come along to the 'fasting today' forum when you fast, for a bit of support & encouragement!

In what way are you struggling with the fasts? Perhaps we can help? They should get much easier by week 2 so if you are several weeks in and still struggling we need to have a think about why...

for the 1st 4 weeks i did fine, however i ate my 500 cals through-out the day. I then found out it would be best to leave it as long as i could without touching the calories and this is when it went mad for me. I obviously don't like feeling the hunger and can't get past that stage now... keep wanting to start then go a bit nutter and break the fast.
