Not losing weight?

Help us to help you! Please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I had a dig in the data from the questionnaire, which is still work in progress. The post menopausal ladies clocked the following stats :

Weeks on 5:2 Mean 12.5, median 10. 12.5 is the mean "average" (total weeks divided by number of fasters) whereas 10 is the median or mid point where half have been on for longer and half for less. Rest of data is also mean, median :-

Initial BMI 30.9, 29.1
BMI after 5:2 29.0, 27.3 (up to submitting questionnaire)

Weekly weight loss kg over 5:2 period 0.51, 0.47 kg
Weekly waist reduction over 5:2 period 0.57, 0.49 cm

Start weight 83.5, 77.5 kg
Close weight 78.4, 73.4 kg

Age 58.8, 59

Waist/height ratio before 0.59, 0.59
W/H ratio after 0.48, 0.52

Number of post menopausal ladies reporting = 62

Hi Dora123, I'm experiencing the same as you, in fact I may even have gained weight (I'm not entirely sure as I bought new scales after 3 weeks and I think the old ones perhaps weren't accurate!) however after about 5 weeks I realised that rather than losing weight I seem to be losing size. I am definitely back into my size 14 clothes which I haven't worn for a couple of years :victory:
So I would say stick with it and try not to be downhearted, and above all don't be a slave to the scales! You will feel & see the benefits at some point I am sure. :smile:
