Not losing weight?

Help us to help you! Please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!
Remember, we're not here to judge, we're here to help.

I'm getting pretty frustrated but not willing to give up yet. This week I plan on counting calories to see if that makes a difference. There have been many fast days that I ate much less than the 500 calories, does that matter at all???
Some very intelligent person will be along soon but for now I'm here.
It doesn't matter if you eat less than 500 on fast days. There are some here that just do liquids all day. Counting calories on feed days will let you know whether you are sticking to your TDEE.
Have you measured yourself? Sometimes it comes off in inches not pounds.
Hope it all starts working soon for you. Best of luck.

Hmmm wonder why not.

Are you binging on free days as a reward? Only a possibility....

If you are keeping to a decent diet generally and getting a bit of exercise too, it's got to be better in the long run (excuse poss pun)

Keep it up!
Start a food diary for a week or two so you can actually see what your eating. Also all calories are not created equal. Sugar, bad carbs, oils/fat very very bad. Limit artificial sweeteners and avoid diet soda. On feast day think protein and fiber. Try 24 hour of food abstinence 6p to 6p. Drink 10 large waters, coffee, tea. Walk/exercise. Something is not right if you haven't lost 1 pound in eight weeks. Eat what you like means eat a healthy nutritious diet and treat yourself occasionally.
Thanks all. I'm not binging but I'm not keeping track either. The food diary is a great idea and I'm definitely not drinking as much water as I should. Fingers crossed.
Hi Kfort

Always best to start with the basics.

Do you have your starting weight? I don't want to know it, just if you have it

What is your TDEE?

That is where we start.
Oils and fats are not necessarily bad, just calorific. I do have a fair bit of fat on non-fast days but my calorie intake (when I check it) is usually around my TDEE. Sugars and carbs keep insulin levels up so impeding fat burning and so may slow weight loss (but not prevent it if you are keeping below TDEE).

See the post on why the scales aren't such a good measure of fat lost. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1006
