As I said in my post yesterday, I have 2 months until my wedding. My dress fits, but I was to lose a few more inches, and maybe around half a stone, which is completely achievable. I am currently at the bottom end of a size 16, and would love to be a comfortable size 14 on the day

Yesterday was a fast day, and I did pretty well. I had for lunch and dinner:-
Chicken oxo - 15
roasted veg - 200
strawberries - 50
Muller milk chocolate dessert - 99

Snacks were;-
Pink & White - 50
Milky bar - 69

I drank 3 litres of water and 4 cups of black coffee, which brought me in at 491

Today, it's not quite so healthy, as I really fancied a couple of bad things, but at the moment, what I have planned comes in at around 1,434, so if I have anything else, I still have the calories to enjoy. The plan is:-

Blueberry muffin - 265
Prawn Mayo sandwich - 276
Diet coke - 2
Snack a jacks - 89
Yaki Udon - 542
KitKat Chunky - 260

I'm planning to try and wean myself off things like KitKats, but going to go gradually rather than stop immediately as I know I'd just binge on them in the end.

How am I looking?
As you say it is very achievable. You obviously have a sweet tooth which is going to make it more difficult for you
Here's a suggestion from me, how about having either the Chunky Kit Kat or the Muffin? or maybe having half in the morning and half later? That alone would reduce your calories by 1750 a week, which I think equals a pound over 2 weeks.
Personally I would add in some more filling lower calorie veg and salads, but that's me.
Good luck and keep us posted :clover:
Hello MrsBod you are eating a lot of carbohydrates that are quick release foods so you will feel hungry sooner than eating slower release carbs such as wholemeal bread in sandwiches, brown rice & more vegetables. Try having soup & wholemeal bread for lunch & meat & fish with more veg for supper. It is possible to wean yourself off chocolate & sweets & substitute fruit or jelly & fruit that you can get in little pots. Keeping within your TDEE is not just about the calories but also about the quality of food you are eating. Try to think of the health benefits of 5:2ing which is giving our bodies a rest day & fuel stop & then eating food our body needs such as protein & nutritious other foods. If you don't like cooking on fast days the M&S fuller longer range has a wide range of meals that fit into the 500 calorie allowance. Also most people do find a reduction in their appetite after a few fasts.
Good luck & have a wonderful time preparing for your wedding. How exciting!
Thanks for the advice.

I definitely wouldn't normally have both the muffin and the kitkat, I try to limit my sweet things to two little treats at night, no more than around 120 calories in total, but the kitkats always call to me when I am in the shop :-(

We always cook at night, the roasted veg last night were great, and we are making our own noodle dish tonight, which has loads of veg in it and is really sustaining.

I also do tend to go for wholemeal bread, as I much prefer it.

I did plan to get up early this morning and make an omlette for breakfast, which would probably have kept me going until I got home from work, so will definitely look at doing things like that, and I would love to get myself off chocolate as it is my biggest weakness.

I saw a recipe for oatbran muffins which seemed quite healthy when I looked at the ingredients, and might help trick me into thinking I am having something naughty.
Actually, I just read back my food there, and realised that out of the 12 items I have listed, 6 of them are snack foods with absolutely no nutritional value.

You know what, I may have just sickened myself into doing something about that! I have a huge bag of carrots in the house, might roast some in balsamic as a sweet and healthy nibble.
MrsBod, that's what I was trying to say without actually saying it ! It is amazing how much clearer things are when you write them down.
I bet the regular Kit Kats call almost as loudly, so you could get them instead you could or stick your fingers in your ears and go la-la-la. It would give the shop assistant a laugh if nothing else
It's amazing the difference putting it down here made, I use my fitness pal to keep track, but seeing two days together there made a big switch go.

Thank you for your tact SianS. Think it will be fingers in the ears, plus pre-made lunches and purse left at home tends to help fight the cravings.
good news MrsBod.
KitKat Chunky is 247.
I love them too. LOVE THEM.
They take ages to eat if you nibble all the chocolate off and eat the wafers layer by layer.
Hi mrsbod well I have a shed load of weight to lose + have sweet tooth.
Think Wedding Dress !!! I've never given up anything have small chocky treat most nights
But I do Now buy treat size ones. And firmly believe that these small changes and my walks probably 3/4 times per week have helped me personally. Started at M/obese and in the 10weeks my loss is amazing which of course gives me motivation to carry-on as I've a very long way to go. WEDDING DRESS that's your motivation for now so Good luck. :clover: Sue
Thanks for all the advice yesterday :-)

Today is fast number 2, and I'm planning a half fast on Friday as well, as I am travelling to Glasgow, and normally use the long train journey as an excuse to eat a huge bag of crisps and loads of other things like that.

No idea what we are having for dinner, we have some cooked chicken and lots of veg, so going to try and come up with soemthing using those. Otherwise my plan is:-

Chicken OXO - 15
Mini milky bar - 69 - my one sweet treat for the day today
Chicken - around 75
Coffee - 8

That leaves me 333 to bulk out dinner with veg and maybe some pasta.

I also avoided the cakes that are in the work kitchen, feels good :-)

Plann
Hi mrsbod yes sounds good plan and well done avoiding cakes yesterday, and don't worry to much if you're over 500cals providing the extra is used on veg/salad or whatever to bulk up :clover: Sue
That's MUCH better

Ballerina x
I think we might do a stir fry, we have loads of beansprouts, spring onions and peppers, so that would go well, and I could have a few noodles or rice with that. I love Asian food, which when I make it myself is always surprisingly low in calories (as long as I actually measure the noodles or rice!)
MrsBod do you know about Zero Calorie Noodles?, you can get them from Holland and Barrett add them to your stir fry, they taste of nothing and do add bulk without calories. Have a good fast :clover:
I've heard really varying things about those noodles, so not tried them yet, but will get round to it some time. Need to wait for an amazing offer though, we have a pretty tight food budget at the moment (£30 a week between us and the dog)
