5 weeks in and 7lbs down
06 Feb 2013, 12:33
From a slow start (I didn't start on this WOE when I first started on 7 Jan) I have now lost 7lbs and am managing the fast days better than I ever anticipated.

Although I calorie counted, I've learned not to choose high carb food (thanks Carolees) and to stick to under 500 cals. I've learned to manage hunger and that this WOE can be very flexible.

Hub is also on his diet (though not the 5:2, as he's never dieted before and so he's just calorie counting - and even weighing his food when he makes his packed lunch).

We have some BIG dates this year, so we're both excited and spurred on to be 'slim Jims'.

If we can do it, you can too!

Well done! You are slightly ahead of the predicted 1lb loss per week, so you may find a bit of a slow down at some point. But maybe not!

A lb a week will suit me, especially as it's something I hope I can continue.
