Obesity epidemic ?

I dug out the UK BMI stats 2005-2011 inclusive, out of interest....

Interesting stuff. The latest figures I could find for Australia were 2008 and gave 24% as obese and 37% overweight. So quite similar to UK.

Interesting! I wonder what happened in 2009/2010? Was there a big diet craze then? Atkins was back in 2004-ish I think.

In the U.S. it is much more gloomy. According to the CDC in 2009-2010 35.7% of the adult population was obese.
