I think it might be the default Moogie as I defo remember changing mine when I joined.

Thanks Jemima, stupid me I never look that far down the page when I am typing a reply...

Re the date format, I certainly never changed it. But I will stick with it because my script depends upon the date format (not here but where dates appear elsewhere on the site). Might be better to have a different default for others, but hey if no one's complaining...

TracE wrote: Is there any chance when we have an email notification of a reply to a post or thread that the reply can be included in the email?

This would be handy for when i'm at work as i'm restricted on access to this page at work so its soo annoying recieving an email to say i have a reply but cant access the site :)

This should now be in place :)
Will try subscribing to a topic so I can check it's working! I think it should also include the message in a notifications of new PMs as well :)

New suggestion for 'orphan' posts at the bottom of pages. I've had the experience several times where I post something to an existing topic and it gets no response because it turns out to be at the bottom of a page and the next post (which may follow rapidly and be responding to an earlier post) causes a new page to start so most people (especially those already following the topic) never see my post.

My suggestion is that the length of all pages except the most recent one in a topic be made a little bit shorter. This would mean that when a new post is added that causes a topic to run onto a new page the preceding page gets a little bit shorter, and so the preceding post that would have been at the bottom of the preceding page will instead get moved onto the new page and be seen (above the new post, of course).

So just to clarify, the last page of any topic (including the only page, if there is only one), would have a length of say 2400 units (I don't know how it is defined), but any preceding pages (i.e. pages 1 and 2 of a '3 page' topic) would have length of say 2000 units.

What about a place where we can upload meal pictures for our fast days, kind of like what's found in MM's book? It would be interesting to see the different kinds of things we all eat, and we could get new ideas for ourselves. I know there's a recipe section already, but visuals can help.

The forums are excellent, helped I think by the people running and contributing to them. The only thing I'd quite like is a "next" button so that I can jump straight to the next thread rather than having to come out of one and go into another (if that makes sense)

Dom, you're really overthinking this!

Think this should be rather tricky to achieve, sorry Dom. If folks use the jump to first unread post links though then posts at the bottom of a topic page shouldn't be missed.

As for a link to the next topic, will see if that's possible, but as the next food will be constantly changing due to new posts and the topic order changing this may not be doable.

People are welcome to upload photos to the recipe section, but I can look at adding a new forum or maybe a gallery for meal photos. The new recipe system I'm working on will showcase user meal photos a bit better :)

I have just spent ages looking for the Amazon link- well maybe not that long-but it could be worth putting it in the main menu, more people might remember to use it.

Thanks Merlin, the Amazon link is available from the 'shop and support this site' link, perhaps I need to word that differently!

Do you think you may consider a forum for people to log in what they eat on feast days (mainly those who are successful ) in losing weight so others can learn how to eat 'normal' without undoing cals from fasting?

I'd just like to know how much of a good thing I can eat without gaining. I dont really want to count cals, defeats the purpose of this style.

thankyou for reading
