The 5:2 Lab

Didn't Dr M try a 3 and a half day fast, but found he could get almost the same results on the 5:2 (particularly with regard to IGF1 levels)?
His long fast in the Horizon program was done with minimum calories (miso soup only) as far as I remember - this 5×25% looks to be a new, less stressful, way to achieve the same effect perhaps?

So glad you did this as I was getting well confused.

I know I know......it doesn't take much lol
having done a 7 day juice fast a few years ago, I can honestly say that 5 days would be complete torture for me and everyone else around me!! I know I would just stuff myself silly if I did it like that, so this works a lot better!
I've read all the articles with great interest - to me, it is somewhat surprising to learn that the IF trial(s) were conducted by the University of Southern California, particularly when there are times I feel the only people actively following the fasting WOL in So.Cal. are @Betsysgr8 and me!!!!!!

I did learn that our local public television station re-showed the original MM Horizon programme this week and so I am expecting a few new recruits from this part of the world.
