Brain activity
27 Feb 2013, 18:00
Does anyone experience increased brain activity after fasting? We have noticed that dreams are not only more, but more vivid, with colour and sound.

In fact, I'm beginning to use it as a criterion of success. I don't experience this when I pile too much butter on my bread (which goes with the veggie soup).

I have read somewhere that students are increasingly using fasting to prime their brains for exams and vivas. (Sorry, no reference.)

I haven't noticed so far, but I am going to see if there is any difference from now on!

I think all the people reporting insomnia on fast days are having increased brain activity which is why they can't sleep!

I've had no problem sleeping whatsoever which is great because I am rubbish when I don't sleep well!
