Does anyone have this? I do, and I'm sure it's getting worse since I've started fasting. Obviously the freezing weather doesn't help but during fasts I feel so cold and my Raynauds is noticably worse... I try to wrap up warm etc, but I'm cold to my core! The only thing I can do to relieve it is have a shower or bath - not always convenient.
Anyone else?
I am certainly cold (sitting in bed now with my electric blanket on - fasting day for me today) but I don't have any underlying health issues.

Do we know why we get cold during our fasts? Is it the bodies way of conserving energy...?
Digesting foods generates heat, so no food = no heat. Brrr :-(
thanks for posting about this, the heating in our house is up and down like a yoyo, i wack it up and OH puts it back to normal. My feet are freezing most of the time and my finger tips go white then blue then back to red, such a wierd sensation.
My husband suffers from this. He is constantly cold and his fingers go blue. He is also slim and does not like eating a lot (doesn't like the feeling of being full).

I have always been a warm person until doing fasting when I am cold all day.....at last I can sympathise with him.

Co-incidentally I used to graze all day so that is probably why I was always hot. I prefer to be cold and slim!
Funny enough I was thinking about this on my last fast day.

I haven't been diagnosed yet but I'm in the process (have been in hospital, with rheumy and lots of tests for lupus/rheumatoid arthritis for one year already) but I do get my fingers and toes deep purple-black and they are always cold.

On my first fast day I've notice that the symptoms came back and it was much more visible and often, cold triggering also my joint pains. I hope this fasting doesn't affect this directly... today is my second fast day so I will see how it goes
Oh dear, I am on my first fast day today and I have do suffer from a mild form of Raynauds which developed three years ago from nowhere (although I was dieting with weight watchers at the time). I appreciate the warning - must go find my fingerless gloves!
My mother had this, she always kept a pair of gloves handy (even in the summer). Perhaps on fast days you could wear them as much as possible to help ward off episodes? Good luck!
