Here's an article from last Sunday's Observer with some fascinating research on ageing:

Interesting. And Caroline's FOXO (as I think of it) is right there in the mix, along with IGF-1, insulin and (new to this forum I think) daf-2!

Still, I guess until Dr Kenyon produces her magic pill we have to try to improve our life expectancy the hard way - with all of this dieting nonsense :wink:
Yep, FOXO is key as is mTOR. Fasting inhibits mTOR, and so should increase FOXO. IGF1 is a surrogate marker that can be used to give an indication of mTOR activity.
