'True Weight'
02 Jun 2013, 12:25
Has anyone any idea whether the Dukan true weight is valid? I am not interested in the diet just curious as to whether I should bear this in mind when considering my goal weight.

My "true weight" according to Dr Dukan is 12st11 / 179 lbs / 81.2 kg

currently I'm 3-4 lbs / 1.5 kg below that. I have too much belly flab at the above weight, but I can hold tht weight relatively easily whereas getting below takes more effort.

I think the true weight might represent a weight that is achievable and sustainable in that it's based on your actual weight in your prime. I worked out mine and it would be 2kg above being in the normal BMI bracket, but as I have a large frame, I think it might be realistic. I'll have to see what I look like if I ever get there! (I've got to lose another 15 kg to reach it )

Don't know what mine is, but if I get to target weight of 150 lbs. that will do me. This is probably ridiculous, but I feel quite slender at 12 stone - compared to what I started out at anyway! PhilT that is a great idea to put the Hitchcock link in your signoff - I would urge everyone to read it! :like: :like:

True weight 68kg
Current weight 68kg
Although I am not sure how they calculate it and what it means. According to there "frame" question I have got a small frame. But you should see my hip width.

Mine is. I know I don't like it but it coincides with the target weight I was aiming for!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like this. Currently just over 13st and both lighter and fitter than I've been for years.

I'm not particularly worried about the weight I get to but it's probably in the range where some people around here were saying they were at their largest. I am going to be very solid tho! :-)
