How fantastic Annie to be celebrating a whole year - and in France too  that must make it extra difficult  you are definitely one of the pioneer mainteneers, along with quite a few others now :like: :victory:

Well done Annie. I have been maintaining for 5 months and agree with everything you say. I weigh every day and it really does keep me on track.

What an inspiring post!

Yes, that getting on the scale everyday. So unpleasant. So necessary.

What I have found to be really helpful is noticing those days when I don't want to get on the scale and start hunting for some justification to ignore it. Always a sign I am about to get myself into really big trouble.

Losing 2 or 3 lbs can take me 2 or 3 months at this stage of life so making sure the scale doesn't rise past those 3 or 4 recoverable pounds is essential. I got sloppy last year and started ignoring the scale and ended up 10 lbs over goal, which is I'm six months into this diet with what looks like a small weight loss but is actually a small miracle.

Yay Annie!! I'm so happy for you. Thanks for letting us know that this WOE with all its individual tweaking can work long term.

Congratulations @AnnieD :like: - you have done so well!

I reached target at the same time as you but haven't maintained as successfully. I was fine until earlier this year when stress at work hit hard and I regained 14lbs but I am back into fasting now and feeling positive.
