Hit my target on Christmas eve and dipped below it on Christmas day and, rather impetuously, moved myself into maintenance there and then... .

@FatDog - that made me smile  surely you'd be the only faster to ever move to maintenance on Christmas Day!! Great work!!

Think that's right @debbiejgb - it's great to hear how you managed a bit of a blip in the scales. Love the flexibility this WOE gives us.
@minigill - so happy for you today! Bet it felt great flicking your progress tracker to "maintaining"

Your plan sounds great
Good healthy foods to eat whilst not wishing to lose any more weight include nuts, avocado, healthy fats, etc!*

No more low-fat, high in sugar or sweetener garbage!

*I forgot trifle! :)

You've got me going there @Breadandwine - low(ish) carb triffle... I'm thinking that it might just be possible :)

Sure you could re-work this recipe @Fatdog and come up with your own (better) version! x
Yes izzy, great minds think alike! I thought of that too, would be ideal! x
Thanks @Bssh and @Franglaise, having cereal and milk at lunchtime is certainly an idea :)

Good to read about having a weight range for maintenance - very sensible approach which I must employ. Once I start the daily weighings (when I get back home) that might help me sort out a realistic range.

And I will repeat my earlier comment about how useful it is to read about how others are handling maintenance :D :D

Cheers!
@minigill I think that may be my maintenance approach too. I still want to continue doing two fast days (for health benefits and to give my digestion a break) but not limit my "break fast" meal to 500 cals. But on particularly sociable weeks I will do 6:1 with a strict <500 cal limit.

My weight margin in maintenance will be +- 5 lbs I think.
I did a second fast today as for the first times in weeks the scales started with 70(.1) on a Thursday, my 'old' second fast day of the week. During other weeks in January this didn't happen.

I did well today, incl solid workout at the gym, and am convinced I should see a low 69 tomorrow. I only have given myself a 1kg range. It's a long weekend in Australia, with lots of socializing so I'd lke to have a buffer anyway. Hopefully back to 6:1 next week but if needed 5:2.

Update: 69.1kg. Happy!
Good plan Wmr - I'm through my two fasts for the week with the long weekend looming. I'll wait and see how my holiday eating goes before deciding if next week's a 5:2 or a 6:1.

Enjoy the weekend!
Weigh-in day today and I'm down a kilo on last week. That is a weigh-in on a morning after a fast, but even so, I think that means its time for my first 6:1 week. Not sure why it feels so hard to let go of that second fast day - it's like a security blanket for me! Anyway, this is what these initial steps in maintenance are about....

Hope all my fellow mainteneers are going well this month!

Hi @Otter

Well this is the end of my first week on maintenance. Haven't actually added much food, little extra half scoop of rice the weekend, big plate of salad at work for lunch. Latter filled me up so much I felt horrible all day, so that plan didn't work !

Its very weird after 7 months of being very good at fasts and aware on the feast days to think, ok, I must eat a bit more and not loose weight  Been weighing daily (ish) instead of once a week after first fast. I am a pound below below target and expect to be a bit more in the morning after the first fast of the week. Allowing a little buffer +/-.

Will maybe eat a bit more the weekend. I can't really add more to the fasts as they are already very filling.

One big experiment at the moment :)
My addled brain always wants to read 'mountaineers' whenever I see the word 'Maintainers' and I suppose in a way that's appropriate as reaching target is like climbing a steep slope then staying on the peak once you get to the summit!
 @callyanna - I have started calling us mainteneers for just that reason!
