Do let us know how it goes with the doctor.

If you're on maintenance, would 6:1 be an easier approach?

Wow! I am so glad I joined this forum, thanks to everyone who contributed to this topic. The doctor I saw today said that the thyroxine was too high and reduced dose from 125mcg to 100mcg, and said (contrary to previous GP) that too much thyroxine could cause the symptoms I had, and that people who lose a lot of weight need their levels checked. As a result of this forum, that's what I did, so thanks! (I really hope this is the explanation, guess it might take a while to feel better)

You don't have to stop the 5:2 diet but you need to increase your per day calorie intake. Ideally I'd say atleast 1500 but as you are already at your target weight (wonder when I'll get there) you could do 200 cals. Try moving your focus from number of cals to consuming the right nutrients
