Hopefully at the end of May I'll be reaching my goal weight.. I really enjoy the fasting and just curious after reaching your goal weight you continue to do fasting? Do you keep the same pace or change it up after goal weight? I've been doing this since February and enjoying it very much.

Congratulations in order! and 3 gold stars. Well done, you! You should check out Franglaise's posts because she has posted a few about her maintenance and a couple of the blokes are on maintenance too. They mostly still do a one day fast, I believe.
I'd be interested in the replies. I just reached goal last week but still have planned 2 fasts this week. Old habits die hard, obviously. Plus I too really enjoy fasting. I think I'm going to experiment a few weeks to see what works. If I'm still losing on two fasts then I'll up the calories overall (on fast and non-fast days), if that doesn't work then I'll shift to 6:1.
Check out the weight maintenance forum for ideas on how to keep the weight off through intermittent fasting!
Dr MM said on Aussie radio that he is on 6:1 to maitain his weight. That is probably the way to go.
I'll let you know when I arrive. Not sure what my target is. I don't know how to decide...

I reached my target three weeks ago, and for now I'm continuing to do 5:2, but just allowing myself to eat whatever I want (which isn't as much as it used to be!) on feast days - while I was still losing weight I was still being careful what I ate on feast days. It's working well at the moment, and in an odd way I too enjoy fast days.
Tass do you still restrict your cals to 500 on fast days?
Hi, I am one of the oddities on here in that I have reached my target weight but I maintain by having an 8 hour feeding window every day. It is not as draconian as it sounds, just skip breakfast and don't nibble late in the evening, job done! Never calorie count or restrict again and my weight is stable. Try it, not for everyone but if it suits you then you are on to a winner,

Hi everyone!
I am new to 5:2...was meant to start my first fast tomorrow but decided to start today instead seeing as I was so keen!
So far so good, feeling the hunger pangs come and go, but nothing too major at this stage.
The reason I am chiming in here is to see some stories of success...and I congratulate you all on achieving your goal weights that is awesome!
Bssh...going from 210lbs to 145lbs...amazing!!
You are all so inspirational! Thanks from a newbie!!
