I think we all need something to keep us focussed, especially in the 'shoulder months' of July/August/September. Then the Christmas challenge will probably kick off again in October (@Juliana.rivers?).

So, who would like to volunteer to run the next challenge?
Not me! I've done 2 and am handing the baton over now for someone to step up to the plate!

Just putting it out there.....

I'm all ready to set up the Christmas one.... i need it myself to get to achieve the 2013 goal! yes i know i didnt make it... yet.

As you suggest @Pennyforthem in October or whenever the "next" one ends.. or immediately following the Thanksgiving one

So.. .. what is the next big festival or calendar event?. If it was just australia it could be the Winter Challenge. If it was Germany it could be Oktoberfest.

Mid year challenge?
I'd like an inbetweenie challenge as I've just jumped back into 5:2.
My youngest is having surgery in July and I KNOW I will use that as an excuse to eat like a hungry hippo if I don't have something/someone to challenge me
Has anyone decided on what it can be yet? x
I'll be up for anything you want to call it!

It keeps me accountable....so is very handy...

I'm definitely up for a new challenge. Here in the U.S. we have Labor Day at the beginning of Sept. It's the unofficial end of summer and the kids go back to school and everything. Or we could do the autumnal equinox to end around 9/23.

I might be able to run it, if no one else wants to. Not sure what's involved exactly. Just keeping the post going and keeping track of everyone's stats at the end?
I'll join this tweenie challenge
I can't run it as I've not taken part in a full challenge, this will be my first! x
Im in too. Im sorry I cant do the thread handling.

Instead of a national holiday, could we pick a calander date like 1st Sept or October?

My goal is the same as last time really, I hope to be at goal and into maintenance. I have about 7lbs to go, after revising my original goal down. However, this may change if my face goes too gaunt. I am a UK 10-12 now, so I just want to melt away the last few remnants of old me lurking in the lardy hotpants area! But, as my hotpants days are long gone, I'm not too bothered about the actual numbers of lbs to go. This challenge will keep me focused on the last few lbs though. Without it I could just giving up and think I am ok as I am.
Hi Penny @PennyForthem. I'd love to lead a challenge at some point but my life is crazy at the mo, with work and other voluntary work I'm chairing or leading on, and keeping an eye on my lovely elderly parents (90/95)

So here is a shout out to peeps, we would all love another challenge, if you have the time, space and feel able to cheer us on to success it's your moment! :like: I think it's a very good thing to take on as you get to meet everyone.

I hope that helps!

Ah, just read back the thread! I hope you feel able to take up the cheerleading role - as I said I think it is a very good thing to do! I'll be there supporting you!

I have had to take two weeks off from fasting as we have been moving house and I tried hard, but nearly collapsed on a fast on day two of our move! It is literally non stop and I need to get back on it and a challenge would be ideal. How do I know what and when the challenge will be?? sorry to be so dumb.

The challenge is announced and then we sign up. You'll see it in the main threads. I think as soon as Penny hands over to our new challenge leader you will see the thread to join up.
I'm up for another challenge to get me through the summer. I have 6 more pounds to get to my next goal.

I'm fatter now at 141 lbs than I was a few years ago at the same weight and hoping I can get rid of more of the muffin top and double chin.
Hmmm, considering joining the challenge. Not done one before.
Quite fancy the equinox. Quite in tune with such things. Autumn equinox brings the gales in Shetland. My birthday is Sept 15th(week before) and that would mark 2 years on my journey. We were away for my birthday staying in a lovely posh suite and it had scales. I stood on them for the first time in years and got a shock. It didn't in any way spoil the break , fortunately. It did make me decide to do something.
Seems fitting to aim for then for me anyway.
Yes the equinox seems fitting, as it encompasses all time zones and hemispheres.
Here's what I do @cblasz
I keep a paper record of who's signed up and what number they are (Though I have missed a couple of people, they have quickly reminded me!) and then record them on the thread. I also quoted the original thread, so reminders were sent to challengers' inboxes. Then, at the end, asking for start/end weight etc. I hope to get time to collate stats (@Juliana.rivers was a shining example of this). @Auriga also ran an excellent challenge for Valentine's Day.
Good luck!
Yes please Penny to another challenge because I need to keep focused to look slimmer for my sons wedding at the beginning of September.
Thank you for organising the Solstice Challenge even though I didn't achieve all I wanted at least I am headed downwards again
