I  this!
Dhana, I haven't watched the programme and I started this on the day a friend told me about it!!!
Besides, I was fasting all my life without knowing it, as many f my friends did and still do. After a day of eating too much, we always ate around 500 calories worth of salad, porridge, fruit or yoghurt. If it was after more than one days, we did it for 2 or 3 days.
It's an easy way to maintain your weight, so why not to do it in order to lose weight...

I do agree, but the mods still closed the thread down. It is the hysterical defensive reactions that I find quite bizarre and even funny in a sad way, but you are right we shouldn't laugh at them we should educate them!
Sad, indeed. And kudos to you for having the patience to educate them. Personally, I dismiss those people like I do with those who dismiss a food without trying it first and say they don't like it. I hate having an opinion without experience!!!
I think the daily calorie counters feel threatened and envious of the fact that not only are we in control of our eating habits but we can enjoy a social life as well as losing weight and improved health benefits and that because of these factors we see it as a lifestyle, not just a means of losing weight.
