I do find that now I like dark chocolate more than milk chocolate
Ditto Suchard
I've always been a person who lives to cook and to eat, and I've loved veg, fruit, pulses, leans meats and so forth for as long as I can remember.. I never have a problem thinking up something yummy to make with them either. My hubby calls me the queen of concoctions and only moans that he rarely gets the same concoction twice That said, I adore pizza, pasta, bread, wine, cheese and cream as well! I don't think I have a very sweet tooth, although since having my girls I do have one day a month when anything chocolate is at risk. I prefer dark chocolate anyway, don't take sugar in my drinks except once in a blue moon, so that hasn't changed.
The difference I have observed is that whereas previously, having a taste of something would lead to me wanting more. I seem to be satisfied with a much smaller portion and able to stop. I had a tub of Ben and Jerry's caramel chew-chew in my hand the other day and found myself stopping after a few spoonfuls I had a glass of white wine last night and actually not only didn't want a second glass, I got halfway through the first and wondered if I really wanted it. Luckily (or my husband would be very worried about me) I managed to convince myself that I did
I do think it varies day by day though. Yesterday I wanted to eat all day, but I was keeping a meticulous record on MFP for the very first time, out of curiosity and to check what my TDEE looked like. I ate about 1700 calories including bread, wine, and some delicious meals. So although it felt like I ate all day I ate really well and enjoyed every bit. Warmed Cherry tomatoes on dark French sourdough toast with very good balsamic.... YUM! I certainly haven't lost interest
