Thinking of you and glad you were all together and there for her. She will have known I'm sure in some way, if that is any comfort to you.

My sympathies to you and your family, Sally. My mother was suffering from dementia when she died and, although she didn't recognise us in the last couple of years, we still felt her loss very keenly. Please take care of yourself and allow yourself to grieve for as long as necessary.

So sad, Sally, but a blessing being with your mum and family.

Yes it is a weird space for you.now but time eventually dulls the pain. But not for a bit with such a significant person as your mother. So Sally be easy on yourself and do lots.of sweet.things. my mum died too young in her early 60s and it just seems like it was yesterday not the 26 years and somethings can just make me tear up. Most of all though I remember her magnificance. As you will too the mum as she was when well

Thinking of you and sending

So sorry for your loss Sally, but glad that your Mum is at peace. Take care during this painful time, there's probably going to be a lot of tears. As others have said the pain never really goes away, we just learn to live with it - it's (unfortunately) the price we pay for loving & have such tremendous people in our lives.

Thinking of you

"To live in the hearts of those we love is not to die"

- not sure who by but the inscription we had on my mum's headstone. She died at 56, when I was 23 - 16 years ago but not a day when I don't miss her.

Thoughts and prayers with you at this time Sallyo - glad you have family to support you at this time xx
