@Julieathome, great to hear from you. Sorry you are in pain but on a good note it sounds like a much more positive pain that what you did have. You sound very happy even so and that really bodes well for a fantastic recovery. Hope you enjoyed your ordering, so nice to get things done.

As someone who had 6 operations between 1999 and 2009, I know what you mean, @julieathome. I forgot the pain pretty quickly and appreciated getting better.

I went to my first U3A meeting yesterday - a very informative talk on FEPOW (far East prisoners of War). It's a very active group and I think I'll join their digital photography interest group, though there are many other topics that interest me. O need to keep the old grey matter stimulated!!

Just wanted to share that I think I have been the subject of an elaborate hoax with an email from someone pretending to be Apple and saying that my icloud account has been disabled until I re-entered my information. I wanted to alert others. I realised something was amiss when I typed in my password and then it started to ask for credit card details etc etc.

It looks authentic and the toolbar actually links to the apple site. It's clever enough to get your password even if you then realise what is going on.

It has taken me over an hour to reset my password as a consequence and reset all of my devices (I have 5!). Please be warned everyone.

@rawkaren I just checked my junk folder and found that very email in it. Not sure if it was google or my mac's email system that categorised it as junk. It's clearly quite widespread.

I've had that email several times. As you say, very cleverly done. Thankfully I wasn't taken in.

I always go into the properties part of the email, it will list the proper e-mail of where its come from. Sometimes its just one letter off what you expect from the company. For example a regular paypal one comes from "email@ppaypal.com" Just the extra p to war you taht things are amiss. Also, generally the email is adressed to dear customer, whereas legitimate emails address you by name because they already have your details.

My back garden patio extension is well on its way. my garden now looks like the practice ground for the Battle of the Somme, but it will be worth it. A decent sized patio area that will be big enough for tables and chairs and the BBQ all at the same time. Plus some raised beds and an extra sitting area on top of the retaining wall. All the gravel, slabs and extra timber arrives tomorrow so the front parking area is going to look like a builders yard too. This is fun. I should have been a builder, but it wasn't the 'done' thing when I was younger. Well in my next life I'm going to either be a landscape gardener or a builder.
