Wow @wildmissus :like: 11st that's absolutely brilliant news
Glad you're getting on better and things seem to be working out again for you and the family, you've been together a very long time and sometimes we need to work a little harder because the men in our lives are very fickle indeed.

Thanks for the tag I'd have hated to miss your
going away "wave"
Have a lovely holiday keep up the sailing and keep up whatever eating routine/window you've been doing because it obviously
is working you lucky girl (((((11st))))) I'll never see that number again not in this lifetime lol

Today has been a good day so hopefully I'm on the mend now
I've finished all antibiotics so I'm hopeful my recovery is on the way this bug has completely floored me like nothing before and in the middle of our best summer for years typical and I've been almost housebound for 10days!!!
-----------ENJOY----------
Congratulations on the new job x

Thank you @rawkaren, I'm going to work on the deli counter (cheese and ham) at Sainsbury's. My 'career' was in banking where I was a business banking manager before I had my girls. I then worked part time in John Lewis and loved that. When we moved up north I got a job in a wee independent furniture shop which is the job I am leaving. I enjoy retail but I like learning and now that my girlies need me less and less I can see Sainsbury's offering me new things to learn and then who knows!

@Sue.Q, so good to hear from you and that you are getting better. I can't imagine being housebound in this weather. We have had some fabulous sailing sessions recently. One impromptu session started at 7:30pm and finished at 11:30pm - we had the huge moon rising over the hills and the sun setting over the opposite hills, a beautiful sight.

Not been here for ages and have missed you all. Truly, missed you.
Holibobs and tablet and chat do not go.
We have taken up bike riding again and I have forgotten how much I enjoy it. Cycling through the quiet lanes of Anglesey is such a pleasure and, oh my god, I am developing leg and thigh muscles.
Commiserations for sickness, congrats on new jobs and I look forward to easier catchups when I get home x

Had my vaccination this morning for going to China in Sep. Just starting to get a bit warm and sore. Not as bad as the flu shot yet but give it time. I always seem to get a reaction. None as bad as the tetanus shot, that was a doozy!

Morning girls ! (and boys ?)

Congratulations @wildmissus

Glad you're feeling better @Sue.Q

Hi @rawkaren didn't see you connected in ages :hugleft:

@Candicemarie Have a great time

Did I forget someone ? Sorry if it's the case....

So, my mother won't be home until the end of September or so because just after the hospital she will go in a recovery home (is that how it's called ?) . She has a big exam today, something where they make you drink something that will go in her bones and show all her old broken bones since birth.... She saw a psychiatrist yesterday who will help with her emotional and psychological pain (which is normal after 4 months stuck in bed) and this hospital is way better than the one she was in April. They listen, take care of her pain, understand she's scared right now. Even with the 1h15 drive to see her (and back), it's a relief.

I have a small health issue myself because of the crazy weather (can't seem to decide between hot and cold) and stress. I won't give you details, let's just say it's in the bum area  I may have to go to see a surgeon but will try anything else before, believe me

Oh and yesterday was OH birthday. We have 16 years between us again  :-P

Have a great day everyone ! :clover:

@Sue.Q
Another day, another chance to feel just a tiny bit better. Commiserations SueQ, we seem to be on the same ghastly roller coaster of illness, as we improve no doubt the good weather will drift away. Hope you're eating natural live yogurt to counteract the death rays of antibiotics, honey.
Have a happy day everyone :0)

@Manderley Sorry you have to drive so far to see your mum but it does sound as if she's in a better place now and things will hopefully start to move for you, when she goes into recuperation will she be closer to your home? I certainly hope so, but at least you know she's being looked after by professionals.

Thanks for all your good wishes everyone I can say I'm on the mend deffo, I'm still very weak indeed, and feel like crap first thing each morning so today I'm setting myself a small task or two that must be done before mid afternoon before
I start to wane. lol
@Azureblue I really didn't want the pills off the Doc but like you was in bad way, I've been weaning myself of all meds this last year since my 4:3 journey and quite pleased with the results
yogurt ooohhhh I really can't stand the stuff my sister keeps telling me to try again the natural type to go with my berries which i love
OH has the fruity type and I hate the smell alone,
Maybe I need to toughen up and try the plain one, I've made so many changes with my foods would love to take this
one on board
Enjoy your peaceful day and hope your OH is on the mend too.
 @Candicemarie Glad your family is returning to you enjoy your quality time with them.
