Packing up OH to go home today. It's been a great week, but I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye this afternoon.

He's home he snuck in whilst Min and I were at her piano lesson. Within half an hour they'd had an argument, she sulked , he fell asleep on the sofa!! Looks like life is back to normal again.
However he announced he's off to Wales tomorrow for the rest of the week as his mum sounds as he politely put it "not firing on all cylinders"!!
Mins last day at primary tomorrow , so leavers assembly, shirt signing and then party ,party , party

Just catching up with this thread, and some others as I just gave up trying to get onto the forum for a few days. Well done @carrioates what an achievement and so glad to read the Minsdad is home again and all going well there

Yes, do hope Sue is ok and will be back posting very soon. My brother arrives three weeks tomorrow for an extended stay till end of Oct, been mad busy decorating a bedroom for him, not that he'll notice! Great news re you DD and SIL too CandiceMarie!

Just checking in from very sunny Germany where we are visiting our daughter and two granddaughters. Unfortunately, they have developed chicken pox so we are confined to the house and garden for a few days until the spots crust over but we did make it to a very lovely swimming pool complex and DinoPark before our isolation began!

Well done, @carieoates, on your race. You look great in your photo. I hope that the rest of my maintaining buddies, @Wendy Darling, @callyanna, @PennyForthem and @Auriga are all doing well with the maintenance. I am not fasting while I am here but will deal with any weight gain when I get home!

@Sue.Q It's not a usual thing to not see you here, hope everyting is ok

Back after a few days trying to organize what will come next. My mother will be hospitalized again as her last fall did some damages on her wounded broken bone. It's good new though as she will be taken care of in the right place for a change (a huge university hospital, in the rheumatology unit under the orders of a neurosurgeon). There may be a surgery, maybe not. But, like I said, it's good news as now we are SURE she will be properly taken care of not like last time where she just stayed in bed without seeing anybody (she saw the doctor only once in 18 days)..... And I told her to keep her focus on positive things like the arrival of our new puppy mid September....

I have a strange craving, a toast with butter and Marmite. How can it be ?

Hmph spent the whole morning trying to sort out more broadband with my provider..
In fact its a week now since i first set this simple plan in motion and have had a week of mistakes made ( by them) promises to ring me not kept ( by them) and downright fibs told ( by them)
I suppose i am not allowed to say who Them is..suffice to say Them are no longer my provider,have taken my custom elsewhere!
ps sorry to go on,Them even refused to give me an address/ email add to complain to..however ive found Them's Chairman's address and will be writing to him soon as i summon up some energy..right now,have lost the will to live! X

Hi everyone. I would like to say a massive thank you for all your messages of congratulations and encouragement.
I did run the race for life last Sunday, it was bloomin hard I can tell you. But apparently the first 5k you do is the hardest, to be honest I only just stopped feeling it in my muscles yesterday,
Anyway I'd like to thank everyone who sponsored me. Cannot believe how many lovely people on this forum took the time to find my justgiving site and hand over their hard earned cash.
It took me 38.29 mins and the next time (probably my local park run) will hopefully be faster.

I am blessed that my family hasn't been affected by that nasty old cancer and so I pledged my race to any friends and their families.,

I feel so lucky to have found this forum and will continue to be here for anyone who shouts whispers, or just plain old asks for help.
