Re: CHATTERBOX CANDY!!

@Sue.Q She will only be 30 minutes drive from our home, when she will be in that recovery place. Plus, she already did a stay there in 1998 when she broke both her wrists at the same time and my dad worked full time, I was away in Paris so nobody could take care of her. It went really well and it's in a peaceful place with woods around. And we promised her that we'll have our new dog as soon as she'll come back home, which should give her a focus to look for.

I really do think that crazy summer is playing with our bodies and makes us sick. I hate when there is a heat wave but would love to have one instead of that roller-coaster

Take care everyone !

Thanks @candicemarie. Just had a very long conversation with OH who spent a couple of hours at the hospital to see how things are progressing. Sadly, his condition has not improved the way they had hoped and now we have progressed to the next stage and to rule out other things that might be going on, so more blood work and a process of elimination, eg a virus. It's a form of dilated cardiomyopathy. Not fair really given he is pretty much a non drinker, does not smoke, healthy weight and eater.

So right now we have options on the table from an ICD all the way to a transplant and until they have worked through their process I think it will be another 3 months as they don't like any major decisions to be made before 6 months are up. So more waiting I'm afraid and a change in his meds in the meantime to keep him going. If I had known this was going to happen, I would not have taken this job, but I'm sticking with it in case I need to take alot of time out in the future for obvious reasons (and therefore need to start saving).

Sorry, longer than I thought!

Archie is fine. Saw him on camera today having one of those strange cat washes where they try to lick their front chest and it all looks a bit awkward. I get homesick when I see him. Ah well, just 21 days and I will be back home for a few weeks.

I always think that it must really hurt them doing that..lovely to watch a cat washing..love when they do their face and ears! X hope the 21 days go over quickly for you x

Hi @azureblue. Sadly not. He has his own business and so it makes things rather challenging as he can't just take time out and rest and he is not supposed to travel either (although he did do a sneaky trip over here the other week). Knowledge is everything though so step at a time I guess.

Thanks for the update Karen and as the saying goes no news is good news, but the process of elimination can seem a lengthy time indeed but these guys won't be rushed as you've found you just have to chill and go with the flow, in the meantime take care of yourself @rawkaren and countdown the days until you come home to hubby + Archie sounds like he's keeping his best coat spick + spam for his mum x  :clover:  :clover:

My OH was waiting for an appointment with a specialist to get test results for a problem which is effecting the quality of his life quite badly, rang this morning to be told 22 September. Made a fuss-offered to go privately- and has a NHS appointment on Monday!!
