Would love to see some pics of all you gorgeous ladies in your Christmas finery as I think we should be celebrating just how fabulous we can look all scrubbed up! :like:

Lots of lovely dresses ladies :like: :clover:

I hope you all enjoy wearing them. I don't have any occasion to wear a dress for the festive times (or others!), so I will continue with my non ending clothes buying getting too big !

I hope it stops as I approach goal (1/2 stone to go). Got stuff from October that is too big again, and my trousers were hanging well down in tesco's just now, I felt like a rapper  praying they wouldn't fall down completely !

And bra's from Oct are now too big again...

Keep the pictures coming :like:

Every year my trusty 'going away dress' comes out for whenever we go to a formal lunch eg Christmas Day. Over the years my hairstyle has changed - as has the colour - and my body shape has also altered, so for the first year since I married in 1982 I shall actually weigh 6lbs less than on my wedding day. Unfortunately I cannot look 31 years younger so won't look at the photos taken when I first wore the dress

I've seen a dress I like in Asda   I don't like dresses but after losing so much weight I'm going to make the effort and buy one - for some reason I really want to dress up

I am not a dress or clothes junkie and Christmas is not a big thing for me, I'll have a meal only with my parents but I'll put on.... wait for it.... my 18 years old leather jacket (you guessed it  ) with a top I couldn't wear for years and a black pants way too big for me but it's too cold to wear the skirt I would want to wear

We take family photos at birthdays (and every other family get together) throughout the year. My mum printed up the photos from the last three months or so and sent them to her sister (my aunt) who lives overseas. She phoned my mum and asked why I am wearing the same dress in all the photos (different events).

Well it's because that is the only dress that sort of fit. Well it sort of fit back then. It is now too big, way to big.

I am frantically trying to make myself a new dress (so I have at least one thing to wear) but as I am losing weight every time I try on my muslin (trial garment that you make so you get the fit right before you cut your nice material) it is too big somewhere. Trying to fit a dress while you are losing weight is like trying to hit a moving target. Frustrating to say the least.

I am not complaining, I am happy to have lost so much weight using a method I can see myself doing for the rest of my life. It's just I am at a time of the year that I am staring into my wardrobe wondering "what shall I wear?". This year it might just have to be a nice skirt and blouse.

We don't normally dress up for Christmas, except for new jumpers etc that people have bought us. But this year I am going to shock everyone and wear the long skirt I was given by a lovely 5:2 member as I now have boots to wear with it.

I have managed to persuade my son to try on some old t'shirts he has in size 3XL and he's looking fab in them. He's been wearing his trusty old 5XL t'shirts and looking like Homer Simpson in the episode where Homer puts on weight and ends up wearing a dress. 5:2 hasn't helped him much weight wise, but now he's exercising as well he's toning up and I expect some good news for him with the scales. He better had, I've bought him a new wardrobe of clothes in a smaller size for Christmas.

I have not bought my dress yet, but I would like to have a red dress for Christmas  . In fact I am going out for shopping today, so maybe I am lucky to find one

Love the dresses ladies and gym-sparkle that looks amazing. I will definitely be going for comfort this year. I normally go for nice black trousers and a glam top as usually the cooking and the port makes me flush.

Thankyou carieoates, ballerina and rawkaren ! I just hope my partner agrees as I won't have seen him for 2 months so I thought I'd try to get into that dress to go all out and celebrate being with him at new year :)
