Mmmm speaking of strawberries, I make a few salads that my friends and family praise, one of them is lettuce, strawberries, grilled haloumi cheese and vinaigrette made with balsamic, honey, mustard and olive oil.

Weetabix thickly spread with butter and eaten like a biscuit, preferably with a glass of orange juice. I swear that when I was a child (over 50 years ago) there was a recipe on the box that suggested buttering Weetabix and putting various toppings on for cocktail nibbles, but I've never met anyone else who remembers that! Imagine the crumbs!
Some of these combos sound pretty delish. I love anything with tahini...feel inspired to make almond butter....and the espresso topping on melted cheese sounds like a winner to me.
Emeken, until I saw someone dipping Weetabix in milk, I ate them with butter and jam...
Tompan, there are plenty of recipes with tahini, one of them being tahini soup with orzo pasta (it's supposedly a recipe for Lent but my grnadmother used to make it all the time).

Thank you Greenmonster and Izzy, I'll let you know how I get on with the almond butter. I'll try some raw almonds and roasted to see which I like best.
Some good ideas here Tompan, strange how I've suddenly become interested in different foods since I started 5:2

Another little treat which I've always enjoyed is a bar of chocolate dipped in strong coffee, that lovely gooey chocolatey coffee taste as the chocolate is dunked again and again! Sheer bliss.....
Scrambled eggs on Bovril toast...nothing to beat it.
Only on non fast days Izzy and not often now

I was just about to post about Weetabix with butter thinking I was unique! I love this combination...
I am 67 and when I was a child that was the only way we ever got wheetabix. I have often fancied trying it again the only problem is that my Mum spread the butter so thick you could see your teeth marks in it.
I thought that was the best way to have it Yum....
We used to have Weetabix for pudding (dessert) at my English primary school - but I think we had it with milk - it wasn't very exciting - I'd rather have had jam roly poly !!!!

I agree!!! No teeth marks, no proper amount of butter.
Just popped up, a childhood memory....buttered toast 2 slices making a sandwich with marmalade and crispy bacon! That's lovely too.
Been brilliant catching up with all our weird and wonderful munchies especially as todays a fast day
