That's brilliant! Well done. A friend having chemotherapy managed a little lemon posset- it's a dessert mostly of lemon, cream and sugar. Very calorific, so useful for someone not eating. Could he fancy a pudding of some sort?

Best wishes & positive vibes.
Edit: I've just realized i'm a little bit late with my positive vibes for the operation ...so they are for the recovery

Golarne, puddings sound a great idea, something creamy, calorific, moist and easy to swallow, because his mouth is probably feeling like the bottom of my parrots cage (his name is Rocco and he's a 14 month old nutcase!) and also when your poorly even eating is an effort so the easier it is to get down probably the more enthusiastic he will be to eat it! Xx
I agree. When my hubby had been on ICU the only thing he would touch was plain, vanilla ice cream. He said everything else tasted like cardboard! Not that I feed him a great deal of cardboard normally but that was his opinion!
Haaa haaaaaa, cardboard a la creme for monsieur?
To be honest, pudding was my initial idea but he ate 3 or 4 spoonfuls and stopped and then he claimed that he won't eat dinner because he had dessert.
The hospital gives him bananas (he needs the potassium and they are high in calories) and today we'll bring him a Nutricia drink that is full of protein.
He also ate 3 ts of honey last night.
He basically needs protein, not any calories so that's why someone suggested the Nutricia drink.

Oh he was! He had a haircut. One of those subtle, almost invisible haircuts that one doesn't notice unless they are looking at their object of lust.
He probably cuts his hair monthly, because it doesn't seem to grow long nor it is too short.
He explained to me how the prostate, urinary bladder and urethra work. I'm not sure whether he was implying something but I enjoyed it thoroughly!
I am glad that we didn't go to the intestines though, I'm a laaaaady!

TML, you would have thought you had died and gone to heaven if you could have been at the graduation ceremony I went to in Edinburgh last week. My son was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons along with a few dozen others, and there was more than a few heart throbs amongst them I can tell you! Not that I noticed, of course!
Congratulations to your son Dhana. Bet you were very proud. ( In between lusting after his colleagues!)
Whenever we go on hospital appts I always leave feeling very old. Some of them are mere toddlers!

Nooooo, of course not! LOL!
Millions of congratulations to your son!
The funny part is, that I never considered that doctors could be sexy. With the exception of George Clooney, of course.
Miffy, they ARE teenagers! There's this doctor who was on call the other day and I swear he was 18-years old!!!

Ehhh hehhhhh, I don't like to boast .....but you oblige me ..... apart from being a complete darling & a marvellous cook, my OH is also a dead ringer for George Clooney.
Eat your hearts out girls
