@marybeth i didnt realise you live in New York
How exciting, its one of those places that fascinates me x
Hope everybody is fine :clover:

I need your help and it's a serious matter. I need to make a decision.

I have a car, 22 years old, works fine (except when it's cold when the battery can have some struggles but it always has done that so it's not because of how old it is). I have the possibility to have my parents car, 7 years younger, works fine, I know it well as I drive it regularly.

The thing is.... I can't keep both of them, I like both of them, drive them for about the same amount of time and they are both quality cars (and I am attached to both of them, I know, I am a nutcase  ) AND the assurance is exactly the same price for each of them so I can't decide with that argument. I have 2 weeks to make a decision and I HATE to have to make a decision... What will I doooooooo ?????
@CandiceMarie I'm sorry that the central NY I'm referring to is 250 or so miles from the NY city that I think you mean. The "non-City" part of the state has a population about the same as the City. Outside of a few major cities like Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, it's all rural and and small towns and cities. As the old cliche goes "I like to visit (NYC) but I wouldn't want to live there". Too crowded for a small-town girl like me.

I do live in a bustling small city, though, made so by the presence of a large university. Don't think I could take the quiet of the rural area 25 miles away where we used to live.

Hope you get to visit both New Yorks one day--look me up if you do! It would be so good to meet you
Thanks for that info, and I will @marybeth x i think it may be somewhere i lived in a previous life,if such things happen.
New York,Canada, and some places in SE England seem to call to me! as if i have faint memories of them and i want to return!x
Gahhhhh! I' m hopping mad! sorted my medication for the week ahead( one of those boxes with a compartment for every day)
Just opened a cupboard and knocked the pills everywhere..all over kitchen floor..

Grrr..my back is killing me now after bending over picking them all up ( and some are still missing, have made their dash for freedom underneath the kitchen units ) Drat!

Still can't make a decision about the car yet and probably won't before the deadline, which is a month. It may be silly but I am like that, I get attached and the idea that my car would go to the bin even if it still works well (it's a 22 years old car, I don't think anybody would want it), breaks my heart. Plus, it's the first car I had after a car crash that could have killed me and the only one I really feel safe in, even if the accident was 15 years ago.... We'll see

Also something weird happened last night, If you remember I broke the top of my foot on Christmas day 2013. Last night it hurt me as much as when I broke it, without any reason btw, so much so that I was thinking of going to the ER but it stopped a few hours later, without any reason   Really really weird.....
Hi @Manderley my advice would be keep the newer car. The newer the car the more safety features it should have, like airbags and ABS brakes. People think older cars are safer because they seem stronger but not the case.
I know, @Wineoclock, it's the reasonable thing to do but here's the thing, I am a weird gal who talks to her car, gets attached to it and, if she decides to let it go will cry her eyes out for days as if it was a pet she has to give up.... How can I let it go (if I decide to take the newer one, which is far from done yet) without being an emotional wreck ?

When I said I am a weirdo.....
Haha@Manderley we are all weirdos in some way. So my advice now is do what makes you feel happy and comfortable.
So, is the secret to losing weight simply not eating carbs and fats together/at the same meal? No buttered GF hot cross bun *licks fingers of stickyness*? No buttered veggies even? Sounds impossible to me :0.
@Azureblue, nothing is that simple and anyway, how could one give up those things and why would one want to?!!!!
Hehehe! 5:2 diet mentioned on longrunning UK soap Coronation Street! :like:
I' ll drink to that!

@Manderley - I would keep the newer car if they are otherwise comparable - it should be more efficient and less likely to cost you as much in repairs over the coming years.

@CandiceMarie - sorry to hear about your pill kerfuffle - that must have been infuriating for you!

After the car drama (still going on, don't have decided yet), the tea drama and I need your advice.

I am a huge PG tips fan (please don't judge) and we can't find it here. I don't like fruity tea just strong black tea and it's pretty hard to find the good one. I tried Tetley and the "English breakfast" ones but that's not it. My only solution is Lipton yellow label.... Can it be the one closer to the PG tips one ? Which one would you advise me ?

Thanks :like:
