(putting up my hand) Please miss! Julieathome. She started it!
posted by the wee clype
Yes, MCC, we are almost neighbors--I believe Tracieknits is from the Saratoga area and there's a newbie (sorry don't remember name) from Auburn, NY.--probably more New Yorkers I don't remember.

I'll put my name on the list at the library for the Rowling book since you're enjoying it!
Dhana - ROFL! Just had to look up 'clype' -

And for any non-Scots, a bit more info ...

My vocabulary is increasing by the day on this forum, at the same time as my weight / measurements decrease!
 :like:
I refuse the nomination due to the fact that I spent too long as a librarian in my youth and more recently Home Educating my youngest. But mainly because I don't know when I will be going into hospital so could end up dropping everything at a moments notice.
No problem Julie - hope you will still be able to take part in the book club, and best wishes for the op when it does come along :clover: :clover:

Weeelllll ..... who might be next up for consideration?? Erm, let's see ... ( X factor like pause ...)

Coffeetime - MIT publish practically all of their courses online for free. So you can study to your hearts content.

Thanks for that Julieathome, I've signed up for a few of the Coursera courses, not just science, they are all free too. My first one History of Humankind starts in a couple of weeks. I'll have a look at your link too.
Aw..go on then..that's what I get for being a clype. Still, I'm used to being the general dogsbody (muttering under her breath). Anyway, I'm all yours if you'll have me, with the proviso that my internet access will be a bit limited from Wednesday for about 10 days, until I get back from hols.
Dhana - not that I'm pushing you or anything

But welcome aboard! :victory: :victory: :star: :star:

Never mind about 10 days from Wednesday, should be ok until then (you've done most of the work already anyway!)

I have sent Moogie a message, and will keep you and everybody posted.

Let's roll    !!
PS - and working in libraries I'm used to coping with staff shortages!
This is going to be great fun, boss! (I know my place) Off to make sure we have enough tea and coffee supplies for the staffroom, and maybe a few biccies. Fancy some shortbread? :curse: I mean  I'll just be gone for 5 minutes ....beating a hasty retreat...
   :like: :like: :like:
I'm more than happy to make some virtual lemon drizzle cake to chomp on whilst discussing the latest read :)
Oooo, lemon drizzle cake, lovely, I'll open a bottle of something nice to go with it, this is fun :victory:

Ballerina x
Minsmum, Would you like to apply for the job of librarian's assistant, assistant by any chance? (then she can make the tea... ).
