TML13 wrote: ...scales showed my TARGET WEIGHT!!!

As most of you know I am a scales-addict and sometimes I jump on it more than once a day. Since I started 16:8, I noticed that my weight is lower in the afternoon and I thought I'd give it a go after a long walk under the heat. :curse:

I stepped on the scales and -lo and behold!!!- that last pound had finally vanished!!! :like:

It is not official, I won't even put it on the tracker but I am hoping that after today's and tomorrow's half fasts (up to 1000 calories) and the 3 fasts of Friday, Sunday and Monday I might set of for my business trip carrying the optimism that even if I gain, I will reach my target soon after I come back. :clover:

So, thank you all for our support and for tolerating my constant nagging and whinging, watch this space for the announcement for when the weigh in results are official (i.e. first thing in the morning).

:victory: That is SO GREAT! You have been such an inspiration and I appreciate all your great tips (esp Dukan attack approach for a couple days - it's working for me)! PS I'm a scales addict too; it's really the only way I can keep myself in check. It's when I stop weighing myself that I get into trouble....
That's brilliant TML! So what regime are you on now? Three full fasts so close together sounds like a bit ox a challenge.
Fab news! :star:
Looking forward to the official victory post :victory:
Aaaawwwww you guys, thank you so much for your encouragement!

It is indeed amazing that it worked so fast, now I know exactly what I'll do when I'll come back from my trip. 3:2:2 with 16:8. Too many numbers, I hope I won't mix them up and do a 16:2:3 with an 8:2, LOL!

Sifrina, I'm so happy to hear that it worked for you! I too get in trouble if I don't weigh daily, I wonder if I should pack me scales? ;-)

Swedey, I'm doing my beloved 3:2:2 but this time of the year is festival season in Greece and I'm also going on a business trip next week so I mix and move the days in order to attend all events on non-fast days and sneak a couple of extra fasts in before I leave.
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning fellow fasters!!!

Guess why I'm here...

OH YES!!! The magic number finally appeared on my scales. In fact, it was a bit under it. :-)

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am, I finally lost the thyroid weight!!!

16:8 works magic, thanks to all of you who suggested it and supported me. I did betray it this morning though because I woke up with a horrible headache and I had to eat something and take some ibuprofen because I have a very busy day ahead of me. Still, it's been rather helpful and I will resume it as soon as I come back from my trip in order to lose whatever I've gained. As soon as that happens, I will decide whether I will set a new target or call it a day. :-)

Now, shall I add the number to the tracker even if it is not my official weigh in day?
We of the 16:8 brigade are relieved I am sure ... Yahoo well done TML well deserved for all your effort
Congratulations TML, really happy for you :like:
Thank you ladies! :-)

Gillymary, I have to say that I admire all of you. Not eating breakfast makes my life (and my stomach) miserable. I couldn't do this for very long. I WILL do it for as long as I have to though because not losing weight also makes my life miserable and a lass must choose between the lesser of two evils. ;-)
I am a breakie person so it is a stretch but for a good cause ... my health and I have wanted to lose the weight that I now have (except for the 1kg yet to go) for 21 years. If 16:8 is the tool for me ... so be it, in combo with 5:2 of course :)
Same here. But I'll be happy when I'm over and done and back to my morning coffee&biccies. ;-)
Congratulations TML - get those numbers on the tracker  :like:
Best thing about all this is knowing that we can have holidays/business trips and have the tools to undo any 'enjoyment damage' quickly. The coffee and biccies will be back on the menu before you know it, and off, and on, and off.......
Heee heeeeeee!!!

Like the old joke...
-Is the left indicator light working?
-Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. :-)
TML, why don't you shift the 16:8 to the morning instead of the evening if breakfast is such a need. So have your 8 hours in the morning, have a good breakfast and late lunch rather than a lunch and dinner?
