Hi Lesley

I am so glad for you. I am back to work tomorrow and did not have a look at the scales while I was off. Too much happening. I just thought it was lovely to hear that you are happy with your body and that the scales don't matter any more. Hope to be there some day.

Enjoy your holiday

Well, back off holiday yesterday. Jumped on the scales this morning thinking I might have put on 3 to 4lb and hoping not to have put on half a stone. My trousers and shorts did feel loose though so was hoping for the best.
Eyes scrunched up, not wanting to look........ OMG.... A gain of.... 1lb. One pound??? WOW.

How did I manage a small gain and not all those expected 3-7lb's.

Firstly we went self catering, so it was easy to eat what I wanted, when I wanted. And I did!! I ATE what I wanted and DRANK what I wanted. I must say, most of my choices were healthy ones, plenty of salads. I did have the odd cream tea and ice creams. I also did plenty of walking, more plodding rather than power walking as well as sitting in the sun relaxing.

Although I set off with the intention of relaxing over what I ate and if I felt like it throwing in the odd fast day, I found that by following this WOE for so long has really changed my thinking when it comes to choosing food. I didn't want to eat rubbish. There was no craving for it. (Yes I did have the odd ice cream etc. But they were few and far between, before 5:2 I would have had many more than I did)
I missed the odd lunch after a cooked breakfast, but did not fast.

I now feel ready to get back into it and will fast tomorrow. Tomorrow I also intend to start exercising to tone up the wobbly bits. I will give the 30D a go. (Will probably be 60D though!!!) I will let you know how I get on.

Good luck to all of you about to go on holiday. Have a good time and I hope you have small gains too.(not big ones I mean).

Lesley

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Today I am back into fasting so I hope.. No.. "I know" I will be getting rid of that extra 1lb very soon.

What happened over the last two weeks has given me great hope for the future. I now know that if you are sensible about what you eat and throw in the odd fast, the weight should stay off.

Now on to getting rid of the next half stone!!

Wow. Last updated in August... such a long time ago.

Where am I now? :?:

One year on from starting my 5:2 journey. What a year! Almost 3 stone lost and I have gone from a size 18 to size 12-14 (depends on shop sizes).

I had a wobbly time in November and December and got stuck on a plateau. I stuck with it, gained a few pounds and lost a few pounds but over all stayed the same weight if you know what I mean. I was so close to my target weight!!!

Christmas came and I put my fast days on hold for three weeks. Now back into it and I have found that the break has kick started my weight loss again. 2lb last week and another 1lb this week.

I went through a patch when felt so bad that I stopped recording my weight on the tracker. But today I have done it and it is now up to date. The line between October and now should look like a mountain range....… up and down.

I have had the odd times when I have exercised but was frightened it would increase my weight and I was so desperate to lose it, so thought I would wait till I reached my target then I could stop weighing myself for a while and concentrate on the measurements instead. I hope to be doing this starting in a few weeks time.

TODAY I have reached a goal I thought would never happen.
I Am Officially Bellow 50% Height/waist measurements. "Get in"

Next target is to reach a total loss of three stone. 3lb to go!!!

Lesley.
