I'm in third week of being back to two fasts a week. I was happily in maintenance and then not sure what happened but manage to put a bit on. Being only 5' a few pounds show really quickly. The fasts are going really well but I am eating over my TDEE on the other days so going down and then bouncing back up again. I need to get a grip :) Today is going well, tea soon probably an omelette and then circuit training.
I forgot to check in this morning, I'm in today for 16.8, 4.3 and low carb. Phew what a lot to cram in.

So I had a mug of homemade squash and tomato soup at lunch, a cup of tea at 3.30 and then a chunk of lovely cheese at 4.
Evening meal is moussaka without cheese sauce. So basically, beef bolognaise, aubergine and a scattering of cheese on the top.
Off to early class so it's in the oven now. And then a sugar free yoghurt with rasps after.

Can you believe I've prepared my salad for tomorrow's lunch already as was making some for the family. Lettuce, prawns, feta cheese and olives.

Hope you all enjoy your evening meals too.
Congratulations @scubachick Yes 140lbs is deffo a weight from the very distant past. Well done I'm so pleased for you, knew you'd do our sometime soon, off down into maintenance for you my girl, Good luck down there :clover: :clover: Sue

@Hazelnut20 I've had those voices all day too
Well done for staying the distance, I kicked them into touch also
We do feel so much better for being a goody two shoes makes me wonder why I sabotage myself so often.
Right it must be time to eat now so I'm off to do just that!!
 Sue
Yay I did it! Just had my one meal. Could eat more but will wait for tomorrow when it is a feed day!
Bah, no paddling tonight as I'm back from a dental visit to get all of the pre-work done for the crown (back story - broken tooth that has to be fixed before I can book my other surgeries).

My lower and upper jaw are throbbing away so I'm going to make-up a heat pad and retire for a nap until the ache passes off enough to allow me to have a soothing cup of tea.

Mumble, mumble. I hope other people are having a peaceful, throb-free FD :)
I'm was in today too. Managed to survive the whole day until dinner until I ate. i had Hairy bikers quick chicken corden blue with salad and a couple of very small new potatoes (52g) . May have a hot choc in a moment while watching part 2 of Cilla. Used a map routing programe on the pc today and worked out I am running about 3 miles when i go out at the moment. I also mapped my walk My friend and i do most weeks and it's 2.5 miles. Plenty of exercise at the moment.
I'm in today - first day on it.

Doing a liquid only fast and have probably gotten through 2 - 3 litres of water, which helps a lot. Wasn't feeling particularly hungry until I found myself sitting here on the laptop whilst Jamie's Comfort Food was on in the background.

Roll on breakfast! :like:
@Heymarty, welcome and well done on completing you fast day. Im a devil for having Food Network on in the background too!

Thanks for all the congrats messsges. Yeah, I'm all tall and willowy @CandiceMarie! Any yes I'm haggared Stowie, @stowgateresident ! Face has shrunk quicker than my thighs. I think it might just take time for belly to tighten and face to settle.

End of the day for me. I didn't weigh my dinner, so dont have an accurate picture, but I reckon I have enough cals left for my choccy protien shake before bed. Its 80cal and thick and luxurious!
Hearty slap on the back for you @sue.q - those flaming voices take a bit of ignoring, I agree, so very well done!

I have only had a tub of fresh soup today...but I have just finished baking a potato for my eldest and slathering it with butter, tuna mayo, sweetcorn & home-grown tomatoes. Believe me, today, that potato smelt sooooo good, but I just gritted my teeth, smiled & handed it over....with a watering mouth!!

Once I get so far through a fast day - say mid-afternoon, I am able to reason with myself about not sabotaging all the effort....but in the hours leading up to that, it can be a veritable struggle......

I........must.......not........weaken.......

:quiet: :quiet: :quiet: :quiet:

Well done for resisting that delicious sounding potato @Hazelnut20

cheers Maggie
I did my first fast in several months today. It was fairly hard. I felt cold all day and I feel a bit hungry now. A cup of tea and then bed and breakfast to look forward in the morning.
I'm on 2 weeks school holidays. Yay! I've decided to not do 5:2 and just eat as late as possible everyday yesterday (Monday) I got to 5 pm and will today and Thursday. On Wednesday and Friday I have lunch with friends so that will be 1-2 pm. I know I should probably keep up the standard 5:2 but I don't want that restriction on my holidays ( whereas 19.5 etc doesn't feel like as much of a restriction when I know I can eat and drink whatever I like later) so that's the plan! P.s I finally made the cauliflower based pizza last night and it was to die for! So much better than the gluten free flour bases I've tried. I used the recipe from lavendarandlovage.
Well done @scubachick

@SSure I just gone another crown 2 weeks ago so I understand the tooth problems.

I survived a trip to walmart without buying the kids or I snacks. I wanted to buy candy SO BAD so I decided to buy myself a small diet mt dew. I gave up dew this summer so I figured one small pop as a reward for not buying food was an ok sacrifice. I also bought the kids some toys just so they wouldn't want candy and as a reward for being brave for their shots :geek:

Not to self.. try not to go to the store on fast day.. temptations are very strong
